We get asked a lot of questions about our services at Seymour Kitchens, so we thought we’d clear up a few of those most commonly asked questions below. Where are your kitchens manufactured?
Our kitchens are carefully prepared through a combination of trusted specialist suppliers and our own Guildford workshop. Cabinet components and doors are sourced from long-established British manufacturers, then adapted, assembled and finished by our team where required to suit each project.
Do you charge for your design service?
Our initial showroom consultation is complimentary, allowing us to understand your space, requirements and style preferences, and to discuss an initial design direction and budget.
Once you would like us to develop the project further, we move into detailed design work. This includes developed plans, 3D visuals, specification guidance and costings.
We charge a £350 design retainer for this stage, which is fully deductible from any kitchen order placed with us.
Which areas do you work in?
We work within a 15 mile radius of Guildford.
What things do you do in your workshop?
Our workshop allows us to adapt and tailor cabinetry for individual projects, including bespoke internal solutions, timber worktops, in-frame elements and custom details where needed
Can I see what my kitchen will look like prior to fitting?
Yes. Once a project moves into detailed design, we present realistic 3D visuals so you can understand layout, proportions and finishes before any order is placed. Designs can then be refined together until you are happy with the final scheme.
How quickly can my new kitchen be installed?
Depending on the style of kitchen we generally advise a 6-8 week lead time for new orders. Lead times can vary depending on current demand.
How much do your kitchens cost?
Our kitchens generally start at £20,000. This price includes cabinetry, hardware, installation and worksurfaces.
How long will a kitchen installation take to fit?
This depends on the size and scope of the project. Usually an installation takes 3-4 weeks, but this can increase for example if the kitchen is to be hand-painted or it is a particularly large space.
Can we pick our own cabinet paint colours?
Yes. Our standard kitchen ranges are available in a carefully selected palette of 35 colours.
